No Animal Testing

Caring for the earth—and its animals.

As a manufacturer of homeopathic medicines since 1935 and Dr. Hauschka Skin Care since 1967, we have always attached particular importance to the responsible development and manufacture of our products using methods that harm nature as little as possible. We are proud and pleased to say that no Dr. Hauschka Skin Care product has ever been tested on animals—either by us or by any other company on our behalf. This policy will endure for the life of the brand.

When we use a new raw material in any of our products, we require our suppliers to certify that the materials have not been tested on animals at any time after January 1, 1998 either by the suppliers themselves, any company associated with them, or on their behalf. Verification of this standard against animal testing is now required by Europe’s Cosmetics regulation.

Peta Certified Cruelty Free:

Dr. Hauschka Skin Care does not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and we pledge not to do so in the future.

Extensively tested on volunteers.

Throughout their development, Dr. Hauschka Skin Care products are extensively tested on volunteers selected from amongst the company's employees. In addition, before a new skin care product reaches our customers, we have dermatological tests performed on human volunteers by independent institutes. These tests confirm the compatibility of our products with the skin.

Our raw materials have to conform to high standards of quality and purity which, together with strict quality controls, ensures a very high level of safety and quality of our preparations.

In the context of our biodynamic cultivation of herbs and the certified organic farming practiced on our biodynamic farm, we are committed to an ethical, sustainable and responsible approach to animals and to the entire ecosystem in which we live.
