Clarifying Steam Bath supports the skin’s natural self-cleansing functions, softening pores, reducing the appearance of redness and softening blackheads and impurities before deep cleansing with Clarifying Clay Mask.

Formulation: Nasturtium, daisy and witch hazel support the skin’s self-cleansing processes, encourage natural exfoliation and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores.

Usage

After cleansing with Cleansing Cream, prepare Clarifying Clay Mask as directed. Shake Clarifying Steam Bath thoroughly before use. Dilute two tablespoons of Clarifying Steam Bath with 1/2 liter (1 pint) of steaming water in a large bowl. Lean over the bowl, covering the head with a towel, and steam for 10-15 minutes for oily or combination skin, 5-10 minutes for dry to normal skin, and 3-5 minutes for sensitive skin. Follow with prepared Clarifying Clay Mask. Liquid may appear cloudy or particles may form due to the natural botanical ingredients. This does not affect quality or effectiveness. Protect against light and heat.

Tips

We recommend weekly use of Revitalizing Mask following Clarifying Steam Bath and Clarifying Clay Mask to help soften the appearance of scarred skin and reduce the appearance of redness.

Gentle cleanse

I have an electric facial steamer and use a tsp. of this with water to get a great facial, followed by Dr. H mask and moisture...better than salon facial.

Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Steam Bath

This is a wonderful product that helps me unwind. The scent is light and uplifting, and although I don't usually stay under the tented towel for the full 10 minutes, it's effective. I love the gentle caress of the steam combined with the refreshing scent. This would be wonderful in the mornings to wake up to as part of a routine if you have the time.

I Use This Weekly!

I have struggled with adult acne nearly 20 years, and recently have ended up with dry skin as well as those nasty breakouts. However, Dr. Hauschka's skin care line has been a game changer for me! This is one product I use religiously every week. I personally really like the smell, and it does NOT dry out my skin after steaming! Once a week, I put about a teaspoon of this product in my home facial steamer and steam for 10 minutes. I follow that with the Clay Mask and then soothing mask afterward. I cannot skip a week of this steam bath; I have seen a dramatic improvement in my overall skin condition: acne has improved, blackheads are gone, pores are small, and my face is feeling less dry and even - dare I say - glow-y!

It really works!

I steam regularly to cleanse skin and clear sinus congestion. I was skeptical of a $35 bottle of additive, but tried it after a stubborn spate of blemishes. Steamed at night, and, the next morning, my skin had calmed down, inflammation was noticeably improved, pores tighter, and blemishes resolved, even beyond what steaming alone or with essential oils normally produces. Worth the price.

Dr Hauschka Products

Though this review is specifically for Dr Hauschka's Steam Bath, which is meant to be used before applying their Clarifying Clay Mask, both of which I find very effective, I will take this opportunity to thank Dr Hauschka for producing an ecologically sensitive, truly nature-based product line - which I have used since I discovered their cleaning cream in 1981, when I was 34 and developed a terrible skin rash that had resulted from what I later discovered were several food sensitivities. I'm now 71, and I use the regenerating line (with once monthly steam bath and clay mask) as well as mascara, lip gloss, lipstick, maybe a bit of blush with their brush, and deodorant - and I treat my hands to Rose Cream Light in winter. Even now, living on a retired teacher's income, I consider Dr Hauschka products my most essential regular self-care purchase.

LOVE this

This product is amazing. It feels like I went to a spa. I used this with the clarifying mask and revitalizing mask and I instantly noticed less redness and breakouts in my skin. It felt like I had a deeper clean. Ordering more now!

Amazing product!
